Tas: State funeral for WWI veteran Frank MacDonald today
ULVERSTONE, Tasmania, Aug 30 AAP - Australia's last decorated World War I veteran FrankMacDonald will be farewelled today in a state funeral in Tasmania's north-west.
The service at Ulverstone Civic Centre will begin at 11.30am (AEST) with Tasmania PremierJim Bacon and state governor Sir Guy Green among those to pay their respects.
Mr MacDonald died last Saturday at age 107.
The service will be followed by a military cortege to the Ulverstone War Memorial anda 21 gun salute.
