Aths: Australian Abdi wins bronze in men's 1500m
MANCHESTER, July 31 AAP - Australian Youcef Abdi has claimed the bronze medal in themen's 1500 metres final at the Commonwealth Games.
Abdi, an Algerian-born runner who emigrated to Australia in 1996, unleashed a superbsprint over the final metres to finish third in the final at the City of Manchester Stadium.
England's Mike East won gold and Kenyan William Chirchir the silver.
