FED:Dump flood levy idea: tax expert

A tax expert has told the Gillard government it should dump its planned flood levy
and instead fund rebuilding efforts by ditching wasteful spending programs.

YASSER EL-ANSARY from the Institute of Chartered Accountants is also urging the government
to better plan for increased and ongoing disaster funding to reduce the need for one-off
and temporary levies.
